Belarusian Personal Pronouns Guide
Personal pronouns are words we use to replace the names of people or things. They help us avoid repeating the same nouns over and over again. In Belarusian, just like in English, we have different pronouns for different people.
Important Points
- First person pronouns: These are used when you are talking about yourself.
- Second person pronouns: These are used when you are talking to someone else.
- Third person pronouns: These are used when you are talking about someone or something else.
When you talk about yourself, you use first person pronouns. In Belarusian, 'I' is 'я' and 'we' is 'мы'.
Examples
- Я люблю чытаць кнігі.
- Мы гулялі ў парку.
When you talk to someone, you use second person pronouns. In Belarusian, 'you' for one person is 'ты', and for more than one person, it's 'вы'.
Examples
- Ты разумны.
- Вы усе вельмі добрыя.
When you talk about someone or something else, you use third person pronouns. In Belarusian, 'he' is 'ён', 'she' is 'яна', 'it' is 'яно', and 'they' is 'яны'.
Examples
